Searching the internet for a while, I've found people claiming there are country locks e. UK codes only working in the UK etc. The only thing that doesn't work is using DLC codes from different regions e. An exception for that are wallet top-up or PS Plus subscription codes. These codes only work for their specific country e. The "Primary PS4" you refer to only works for games. DLC are region locked. In your case, the DLC you bought is only valid for your German account, and you need to be logged on the PSN with that account in order to use it.
You can try calling the Sony customer service and explain them the situation, maybe they can switch the DLC to your other account, but I'm pessimistic about it I haven't found their customer service very helpful so far Sign up to join this community. If you look it up on the PSN store with the account you did not purchase it on, it will show that you do not have it, but you really do, just not on that account. Please try it and let us know, it should work as long as you have the Primary PS4 thing taken care of. The thing is, to check if the DLC is working, I have to kill a boss and talk with someone else.
I am afraid that, if the DLC is not working, but I nevertheless do the things that are supposed to trigger it, then I will not be able to use it anymore perhaps it is just paranoia, but you know, I do not want to restart the game once again.
This option will be my last chance. What game and DLC are we talking about? Not sure if this was necessary, but doesn't hurt unless you're using both to purchase content from PSN. They showed as purchased, just needed to re-download them. Upon loading the game again all the purchased DLC's were available to her. I switched back to my account just to verify it was on mine as well and everything is working as it should again.
I'm going to assume that even though I was able to download the DLC's upon initial setup of my PS4, it did not properly assign the licenses to my PS4 primary account. Most likely because the content was originally purchased via the PS3. Thanks for all the help to those that replied. Hopefully my experience can help other users in the future with this same problem. I actually bought the Arkham Knight graphic novel from Amazon. In the back cover there is a redeem code for a skin. I have attempted to enter this redeem code whist logged into my UK PS4 account but it refuses it say it is invalid. I have established that it is a code that can only be used in the USA. They reckon that this will allow me to enter the redeem code and therefore download the skin.
There was no mention of whether it could be read across accounts on the same PS4, but I didn't ask, maybe because I didn't fully understand. I haven't done it yet as I am not really sure of what I'm doing.
